Tourism / bicycling
Havlíčkobrodsko is popular among hiking and bicycling lovers. Havlíčkův Brod region crosses 6 nature trails and Klub českých turistů maintains another 7 trails leading through interesting natural spots or historical places. More info HERE.
Bicycling trail Přibyslav – Sázava, built on old abolished railroad from Přibyslav to Sázava offers an unique experience. Lenght is about 9 km and it is just a flat land. The altitude difference is about 60m and it’s fitting for in-line skating as well. The trail is used by cross country skiers in winter.

Downhill skiing is available in couple of fully equipped ski areas.

- Ski lift Melechov, slope is on the hill Melechov, around 9 km from Ledeč nad Sázavou, near by Kouty.

Culture
Cultural life in Havlíčkův Brod is managed by these institution: Cultural Centrum Ostrov offering movie theatre, theatre plays and concerts. Then, amateur theatre A Divadlo and amateur marionette puppet theatre Kráťa – AZ centrum.
Club Oko organizes shows and Film club Oko plays interesting and famous Czech and foreign movies not shown in regular theaters or movies that can only be seen in art movie clubs.
