Highlands region really is a place where you can lead satisfying life, have a good job and great fun.

Highlands region is located in the very centre of the Czech Republic and stretches thorough most of the Českomoravská vrchovina. Its area size is above average but below average in the matter of population density. The region is appealing its low criminality as well as its great, pure, well preserved nature and low pollution. 

Local characteristic of this region is a small village situated not too far from the region center, usually a small quiet town with about 3 to 20 thousands residents. This specific layout brings many positives - both advantages, small town and country lifestyle, are available.

The strategic location of Highlands attracts many international companies that have placed not only their manufacturing but also their research and development departments here. This area has a great network of elementary schools, many first rate high schools, and lots of small children oriented school facilities. Many interesting cultural events take place in this region, some of them with national or international importance.

About sports: The most relevant is the sport center in Nové Město na Moravě. Highlands region has couple of Ski Areas with the elevation around 700 m. Velké Dářko is the most known water area in Highlands (the biggest lake here), also Dalešice, rockfill dam with clay seal with the height of 100 m and length 350 m of hydro-electric plant Dalešice is the highest of its kind in the CR. Hiking facilities include c. 2900 km of tourist trails, and c. 2250 km of bicycle trails.

3 monuments of this region entered the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List: Town Telč , Pilgrimage Church of St. John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora by Žďár nad Sázavou and The Jewish Quarter and the Basilica of St. Prokop in Třebíč. Very unique is The Museum of Records and Curiosities in Pelhřimov. The natural wealth of the region lies in many nature reserves. 

Vysočina Region will catch your attention with its harmonic cultural landscape with many forest preserves and groves, fields, pastures, ponds and many streams.
